Summer Term
Our Summer Term begins Monday, June 7 and continues through Friday, July 16. July 19-23 will be one week off. Our Summer Term will start up again on Monday, July 26 and continue until Friday, September 3. That is a total of 12 weeks for our Summer Term.
Exploring Creation with Anatomy & Physiology
14 lessons in the book with many activities and experiments.
Your goal is to complete all reading and activities for one lesson each week of the summer term. I know. We'll have to double up on two weeks but that's okay because some of the lessons are shorter than others.
Life of Fred Fractions
32 chapters in the book with assignments.
Your goal is to complete all reading and assignments for one chapter each day. If you come to a concept that you need to take more time on that is fine but do your best! A solid foundation of fraction knowledge will pave the way for learning algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.
Reports on 3 books of your choice
If you want you may begin reading a book now for one of the required reports. You may choose any book you like (fiction, non-fiction, biography, graphic novel, etc.) but it MUST be at a 5th grade or higher reading level. We have many to choose from in our home school library or you may request to go to the public library and peruse the stacks there to find something that catches your interest. When you let me know what book it is you will report on, I will give you the appropriate book report form. (You would report on different aspects for a biography than you would for a fictional mystery.) Your first book report is due Friday, June 11.
